Am I the merely 1 who worries about things flight in?
My other one-half ever moans at me. Nosotros do have the windows open just a fraction when information technology is this hot but if information technology was left to him they would be wide open.
We live in the countryside and have lots of bats flying about and those huge moths that look like they have faces.
I would be beside myself if one ever flew in. I have a major phobia of anything with wings that flaps about (birds including although plainly they don't come up out at night). Thankfully my children don't seem to have inherited my fear.
Does anyone else not accept the windows open for this reason? Other half is giving me a hard time over it which I tin can understand as it does go hot at dark.

You tin get a mosquito net that fits over your open window, that way, you can have the window open, but nothing tin fly in.    My friend got when a wasp nest appeared next to her livingroom window.

We pretty much ever have the window open, both of u.s. are "warm" people and OH is just a bloody radiator when he's comatose.

There is a infinite between window and curtain where the window ledge is.

Nosotros take had heat this calendar week since Mon, and I simply left my window open final dark. I am terrified of spiders coming in then thats my reason but yday was the hottest so had to go out it open.
When I was with my ex, the window was unremarkably open coz I knew he would get rid of any spiders if they came in.
Bats dont usually come in through a window, unless its a full opening one thats opened really broad. Reason I know is nosotros had bats in my dads business firm yrs bk, there was tons of them in the attic and in the hot weather we had windows n doors open abiding for the animals and the only time a bat came in was in one case through the back door coz their nest was right in a higher place it. Any other time they just came downwardly through the nether cupboard stairs.

Non nest, information technology was an opening betwixt the gutter and the wall that they got in.

I too hate leaving the windows open incase insects and worst of all spiders get in. My husband insists on having them open though as its and then hot and he is always gets like an oven.

My other reason for non liking our bedroom windows open though is that we dont have picayune top windows only full sized ones and we have a flat roof bit exterior that if a burglar wanted to could go on and then in through our windows! OH says he will keep a baseball bat beside the bed...only I am closest to the windows LOL! I also dont get out the kids window open at all because again someone could go far or my eldest daredevil might try to climb out

If we could afford it Id get new windows washed with small windows at the elevation as well as main windows.

We have large wide windows in the bedrooms. Each has 3 parts which will open. In the twenty-four hours i volition open up either side one in my rooms (ds are locked) which open similar a door, but during the night i volition only open up the one that is in the eye and opens like a catflip door (iygwim). Ds's room is the same, his 2 big ones are locked and so i only ever open the eye one twenty-four hours or night.

No one could get through the heart ones because of how they open and i hadnt even thought about bugs etc getting in.

We have the windows open up and the curtains drawn.  I take never thought about things flight in to be honest.

We used to have mosquito nets when we lived in Turkey but I had never considered getting them here.

I hadn't thought almost a internet, might have to invest in something like that every bit my room is similar a suana!

I've been struggling with the question of whether information technology's safe to exit the little window open in our iii year olds room. I'm scared someone could squeeze through it or reach the handle of the big window through it. I know it'due south highly unlikely simply It's enough to keep me awake!

I'm completely the same at the moment, yesterday was ridiculously hot, had the back door open up within v minutes a massive fly flew in O/H then got an ear bashing for leaving the door open, he gets hot too and we have bickered earlier near having bedroom window open at night, so i understand where you are coming from.
i suppose if anything did come up in, your OH would have to be the one to deal with it haha

im non very skillful with advice
